Very good for scraping and mixing, and does not flex and frustrate like some other types of spatulas. We liked our first one so much, we got another.
I have had no problem with the handle bending or breaking, and I like the fact that it doesn't move around in my hand. This spoon spatula is the first utensil I reach for when I'm cooking--no matter what I'm cooking. It really stays with the form of the bowl or pan. I can get around the entire bowl in one stroke. I have this in red and white. I actually think the white has become a little stained, the red hasn't.
I like it very much It is very comfortable in my hand and does not stain from red sauces.
I wrote to OXO about this twice in the last 2 months with no reply and this is most frustrating to me. One day when making a non-meat tomato sauce the handle simply broke off leaving the handle in my hand and the spatula in the pot. Anyway, I am now using a KitchenAid product which feels much more sturdy and KitchenAid responds to e-mails IMMEDIATELY. I purchased a few of these for myself and friends. From the day I got my spoon spatula it was my favorite kitchen tool, especially since I could use it when making sauces or frying onions and veggies.
